Saturated Fatty Acid
A fatty acid that does not have a carbon double bond.
Unsaturated Fatty Acid
A fatty acid that has a carbon double bond.
Triglyceride Storage Property
Triglycerides function in storage because they are insoluble and do not affect osmosis.
Emulsion Test Procedure and Positive Result
A test for lipids conducted by adding ethanol and water and shaking; a positive result forms a white emulsion if lipids are present.
Emulsion
Droplets of one liquid suspended in another liquid.
