Air Force Song, Verse 1
Off we go into the wild blue yonder, Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come, zooming to meet our thunder,
At 'em now, giv'em the gun! (Give 'em the gun, hey!)
Down we dive spouting our flames from under,
Off with one hell-uv-a-roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame - Hey!
Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!
Air Force Song, Verse 2
Brilliant minds fashioned a crate of thunder,
Sent it high into the blue;
Valiant hands blasted the world asunder,
How they lived God only knew! (God only knew, hey!)
Boundless souls dreaming of skies to conquer,
Gave us wings, ever to soar.
With scouts before and bombers galore, - Hey!
Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!
Air Force Song, Verse 3
(Sing Softly) Here's a toast to the host
(With intensity) of those who love the Vastness of the sky.
To a friend we send a message of the brave who serve on high.
We drink to those who gave their all of old,
(Get louder) Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold.
(Full volume) A toast to the host of those we boast, the U.S. Air Force!
Air Force Song, Verse 4
Off we go into the wild sky yonder, Keep the wings level and true;
If you'd live to be a gray-haired wonder,
Keep the nose out of the blue. (Out of the blue, hey!)
Fly to fight, guarding our nation's borders, We'll be there followed by more!
In echelon we carry on - Hey!
Oh, nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!
Space Force Song (Semper Supra)
We're the mighty watchful eye,
Guardians beyond the blue,
The invisible front line,
Warfighters brave and true.
Boldly reaching into space,
There's no limit to our sky.
Standing guard both night and day,
We're the Space Force from on high.
Oath of Enlistment
I, Joseph Alsakr, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice
Mission Command Core Principles
Centralized Command: Retains strategic control and sets overall objectives.
Distributed Control: Shares tactical information across forces.
Decentralized Execution: Empowers subordinates to act locally based on intent
Agile Combat Employment (ACE) & Phases
ACE is a proactive and reactive operational scheme of maneuver executed within threat timelines to increase survivability while generating combat power. Rather than operating from large, centralized bases, forces disperse across a network of
smaller, austere locations to complicate enemy targeting.
Phase 1: Setting the Theater (Posture): Establishing access agreements, identifying locations, and pre- positioning war reserve material well ahead of a conflict.
Phase 2: Proactive ACE Maneuver: Dispersing personnel and combat assets to contingency locations based on political or security triggers to deter the adversary.
Phase 3: Reactive ACE Maneuver: Rapidly shifting forces away from bases under active attack during an armed conflict to survive and regenerate combat power.
Phase 4: Mass Over Dispersal: Aggregating effects and fires from multiple dispersed sites to execute focused strikes against the enemy.
Phase 5: Recovery and Sustainment: Conducting rapid airfield damage repair, fixing aircraft, and maintaining logistics to continue generating combat sorties.
Mission Ready Airmen (MRA) / Multi-Capable Airmen (MCA)
Airmen trained in a mix of expeditionary combat skills and cross-functional tasks outside their primary specialty. This baseline training allows small, multidisciplinary teams to deploy to austere environments with a minimal footprint. A mechanic might handle security, while an
intelligence analyst assists with aircraft refueling, minimizing the manpower required to operate a remote site.
Mission-Type Orders (MTO)
A technique/style for writing orders that specify the what and why of a mission (the commander's intent and target objectives) without dictating the how. MTOs provide the mechanisms for decentralized execution. When communication links fail, subordinate units use the latitude provided in an MTO to make localized tactical decisions that still align with the broader strategic goals.
Joint All-Domain Operations (JADO)
Operations integrated across all warfighting domains; air, land, maritime, space, cyberspace, and the electromagnetic spectrum. JADO aims to coordinate effects at a speed and scale that outpaces the adversary's decision cycle. In an ACE framework, JADO allows forces dispersed across vast distances to seamlessly synchronize multi-domain fires and assets toward a unified objective.
Operation Order (OPORD)
A comprehensive, written order detailing all aspects of a
military operation. It's a detailed plan for executing a mission, providing clear instructions. The format of an OPORD is abbreviated by the acronym "SMEAC."
Situation - the conditions affecting the operation
Mission - states the unit's specific task to be accomplished
Execution - details how the unit will accomplish the mission, including the commander's intent and tasks.
Administration and Logistics - outlines the resources and support required for the operation.
Command & Signals - provides information on command structure and
communication methods
Warning Order (WARNO)
A preliminary notice that informs units of an upcoming operation, allowing them time for reconnaissance and planning
Fragmentary Order (FRAGO)
A modification to an existing order. Fragmented by only describing the changes, additions, deletions, and modifications. May be issued before or during operation execution.
