Mean
The measure of central tendency known as the average of the data.
Median
The measure of central tendency that refers to the middle value in an ordered list of data and is less affected by extreme values than the mean.
Mode
The measure of central tendency that identifies the most frequently occurring value in a data set.
Measures of Central Tendency
Statistical measures used to describe the typical or central value of a data set.
Measures of Variability
Statistical measures that describe how the data values are spread out.
Histogram
A visual representation that shows the frequency of numerical data in intervals.
Bar Graph
A graph used to compare different categories.
Line Graph
A graph used to show changes over time.
Piecewise Function
A function that uses separate rules for different input intervals, commonly used to model real-life situations like fare schedules, tax schedules, or delivery charges.
Piece of a Piecewise Function
Each specific pricing or rate rule that applies to a designated interval within a piecewise function.
Tangent (tan(θ))
A trigonometric ratio in a right-angled triangle defined as AdjacentOpposite.
Cosine (cos(θ))
A trigonometric ratio in a right-angled triangle defined as HypotenuseAdjacent.
Sine (sin(θ))
A trigonometric ratio in a right-angled triangle defined as HypotenuseOpposite.
Trigonometric Ratios
Mathematical ratios (such as sine, cosine, and tangent) that describe relationships among the side lengths and an angle in a right-angled triangle.
