Amazon CloudWatch Metrics
A feature providing performance data and timestamped variables (such as CPUUtilization and NetworkIn) for AWS services, which can be visualized on dashboards.
Detailed Monitoring
A paid Amazon CloudWatch feature that provides metrics at a 1-minute frequency instead of the default 5-minute interval.
CloudWatch Billing Metric
A metric tracking Total Estimated Charge across an AWS account, stored and tracked exclusively in the us-east-1 region.
Amazon CloudWatch Alarms
A feature used to trigger notifications for any metric, automate Auto Scaling adjustments, initiate EC2 actions (stop, terminate, reboot, or recover), or notify an SNS topic.
CloudWatch Alarm States
The three possible states evaluated by a CloudWatch Alarm: OK, INSUFFICIENT_DATA, and ALARM.
Amazon CloudWatch Logs
A service that enables real-time monitoring and configurable retention of log files collected from sources such as Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, AWS Lambda, CloudTrail, Route 53, and servers.
CloudWatch Logs Agent
An agent that must be installed on EC2 instances or on-premises servers to push logs to CloudWatch Logs, as EC2 instances do not send logs by default.
Amazon EventBridge
A service (formerly CloudWatch Events) used to react to AWS service events using event rules or run scheduled Cron jobs, triggering destinations such as Lambda functions, SQS, or SNS.
EventBridge Schema Registry
A feature of Amazon EventBridge that allows you to model and manage event schemas.
EventBridge Archive and Replay
A capability to archive events sent to an event bus (either indefinitely or for a set period) and replay them at a later time.
AWS CloudTrail
A service enabled by default that provides governance, compliance, and auditing by recording a history of API calls made via the AWS Management Console, SDK, CLI, and AWS services.
AWS CloudTrail Insights
A feature that provides automated analysis of CloudTrail events to identify abnormal activity in an AWS account.
AWS X-Ray
A tool that traces requests through distributed applications and microservices to troubleshoot bottlenecks, pinpoint service issues, find errors, and inspect request behavior.

AWS X-Ray Visual Analysis
A visual representation showing client requests, component latencies, transaction rates, and downstream connections between services such as EC2, DynamoDB, and SNS.
AWS Health Dashboard - Service History
A status dashboard (previously AWS Service Health Dashboard) displaying the operational health and historical incidents of all AWS services across all regions, with an available RSS feed.
AWS Health Dashboard – Your Account
A global dashboard (previously AWS Personal Health Dashboard / PHD) that offers personalized alerts, scheduled activities, and remediation guidance when AWS events impact your specific resources.
