Line Segment AB
A straight path between two points A and B.
Ray BC
A line that starts at point B and passes through point C.
Angle YXZ
Formed by rays XY and XZ sharing endpoint X.
Geometric Construction
The process of drawing geometric figures accurately using only specific tools such as a straightedge and a compass.
Straightedge
A tool used only for drawing straight lines or connecting points.
Compass
A tool used to draw circles, arcs, and equal distances accurately; it is not used for measuring lengths.
Perpendicular Lines
Two lines that intersect to form a perfect 90-degree angle, also known as a right angle.
Parallel Lines
Straight lines in a plane that are always the same distance apart (equidistant) and never intersect or meet, regardless of how far they are extended.
