The metric unit used to measure length, abbreviated as m.

Liter

The metric unit used to measure volume, abbreviated as L.

Gram

The metric unit used to measure mass, abbreviated as g.

Kilo

A metric prefix abbreviated as k, with a meaning of 1000, decimal form 1000, and scientific notation $10^3$.

Hecto

A metric prefix abbreviated as h, with a meaning of 100, decimal form 100, and scientific notation $10^2$.

Deka

A metric prefix abbreviated as da, with a meaning of 10, decimal form 10, and scientific notation $10^1$.

Base

The base metric unit (abbreviated as -), with a meaning of 1, decimal form 1, and scientific notation $10^0$.

Deci

A metric prefix abbreviated as d, with a meaning of 1/10, decimal form 0.1, and scientific notation $10^{-1}$.

Centi

A metric prefix abbreviated as c, with a meaning of 1/100, decimal form 0.01, and scientific notation $10^{-2}$.

Milli

A metric prefix abbreviated as m, with a meaning of 1/1000, decimal form 0.001, and scientific notation $10^{-3}$.

Micro

A metric prefix abbreviated as Mic, with a meaning of 1/1,000,000, decimal form 0.000001, and scientific notation $10^{-6}$.
