Pelvis renalis
Nierenbecken (Renal pelvis): The funnel-shaped structure that collects urine from the kidney and funnels it into the ureter.
Ureter dexter et sinister
Rechter und linker Harnleiter (Right and left ureter): The tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder.
Vesica urinaria
Harnblase (Urinary bladder): The organ that collects and stores urine before it is eliminated from the body.
Urethra masculina (feminina)
Männliche (weibliche) Harnröhre (Male/female urethra): The tube that carries urine from the urinary bladder to the outside of the body; longer in males than in females.
Urothel
Typisches Epithel der harnableitenden Wege, das sich an Volumenschwankungen anpassen kann. (Urothelium): The specialized epithelium lining the urinary tract, capable of stretching and contracting to accommodate changes in volume.
Situs renalis
Hohlraum, der sich am Hilus in die Niere hineinwölbt. (Renal sinus): The cavity within the kidney that contains the renal pelvis, renal calyces, and associated blood vessels and nerves.
Papillae renalis
Nierenpapillen; werden vom Nierenbecken umgeben. (Renal papillae): The location where the renal pyramids empty urine into the minor calyx; surrounded by the renal pelvis.
Area cribrosa
Siebartiges Aussehen der Crista renalis, das durch die Mündungen der Ductus papillares entsteht. (Area cribrosa): The sieve-like appearance of the renal crest, formed by the openings of the papillary ducts.
Recessus pelvis
Nebenbuchten des Nierenbeckens, die sich lateral befinden und zwischen die Markpyramiden ziehen. (Pelvic recesses): The diverticula of the renal pelvis located laterally, extending between the medullary pyramids.
Recessus terminales
Zwei röhrenförmige Divertikel beim Schwein, die Harn sammeln und ihm ins Nierenbecken transportieren. (Terminal recesses): Two tubular diverticula in pigs that collect urine and transport it into the renal pelvis.
Glandulae pelvis renales
Schleimdrüsen im Nierenbecken des Schweins. (Renal pelvic glands): Mucous glands found in the renal pelvis of pigs.
Calices renales
Nierenkelche beim Rind und Schaf; umfassen die Nierenpapillen. (Renal calices): Cup-like structures in cattle and sheep that surround the renal papillae to collect urine.
Pars abdominalis
Abschnitt des Harnleiters im Bauchbereich (retroperitoneal). (Abdominal part): The section of the ureter located in the abdominal region, lying retroperitoneal.
Pars pelvina
Abschnitt des Harnleiters im Beckenbereich; tritt in die Plica genitalis ein. (Pelvic part): The section of the ureter located in the pelvic region; enters the Plica genitalis.
Ostium ureteris
Mündung des Harnleiters in die Harnblase. (Ureteric orifice): The opening of the ureter into the urinary bladder.
Plica genitalis
Falte des Peritoneums, in welcher die Pars pelvina des Ureters verläuft. (Genital fold): A fold of the peritoneum in which the pelvic part of the ureter runs.
Trigonum vesicae
Dreieckige Fläche an der Innenseite der Harnblase, die durch die Plicae uretericae begrenzt wird. (Trigone of bladder): The triangular area on the inner surface of the urinary bladder, delineated by the plicae uretericae.
Ligg. vesicae lateralia
Laterale Haltebänder der Harnblase. (Lateral ligaments of bladder): The lateral supporting ligaments of the urinary bladder.
Lig. vesicae medianum
Mittleres Halteband der Harnblase; Überrest des Urachus. (Median ligament of bladder): The median supporting ligament of the urinary bladder; a remnant of the urachus.
M. detrusor
Muskulatur der Harnblase. (Detrusor muscle): The smooth muscle of the urinary bladder wall responsible for contraction during urination.
Nn. pelvici
Nerven, die die Kontraktion des M. detrusor und die Relaxation der Urethra bewirken (Parasympathikus). (Pelvic nerves): Nerves that stimulate the contraction of the detrusor muscle and relaxation of the urethra (parasympathetic).
N. hypogastricus
Nerv, der die Relaxation des M. detrusor und die Kontraktion des Harnblasenhalses bewirkt (Sympathikus). (Hypogastric nerve): Nerve that stimulates the relaxation of the detrusor muscle and contraction of the bladder neck (sympathetic).
Ostium urethrae internum
Innere Öffnung der Harnröhre. (Internal urethral orifice): The internal opening of the urethra into the urinary bladder.
Ostium urethrae externum
Äußere Öffnung der Harnröhre. (External urethral orifice): The external opening of the urethra to the outside of the body.
Diverticulum suburethrale
Schleimhautbucht im Bereich der Mündung der weiblichen Harnröhre bei Wiederkäuern und Schweinen. (Suburethral diverticulum): A mucosal pocket near the opening of the female urethra in ruminants and pigs.
Pars pelvina urethrae
Beckenabschnitt der männlichen Harnröhre. (Pelvic part of urethra): The section of the male urethra located in the pelvic region.
Pars prostatica urethrae
Abschnitt der männlichen Harnröhre, der durch die Prostata verläuft. (Prostatic part of urethra): The section of the male urethra that passes through the prostate gland.
Colliculus seminalis
Hügel in der Pars prostatica, auf dem die Ductus ejaculatorii münden. (Seminal colliculus): A small elevation in the prostatic urethra where the ejaculatory ducts open.
Recessus urethralis
Blindsack am Ende der Pars pelvina urethrae bei Wiederkäuern und Schweinen. (Urethral recess): A blind sac at the end of the pelvic part of the urethra in ruminants and pigs.
Pars penina urethrae
Penisabschnitt der männlichen Harnröhre. (Penile part of urethra): The section of the male urethra that runs through the penis.
M. urethralis
Muskel, der die Harnröhre umgibt und willkürlich kontrahiert werden kann. (Urethralis muscle): The striated muscle that surrounds the urethra and can be voluntarily contracted.
Plexus prostaticus
Nervengeflecht dorsal der Prostata, das sympathische und parasympathische Fasern enthält. (Prostatic plexus): A network of nerves located dorsal to the prostate, containing sympathetic and parasympathetic fibers.
Prostata
Vorsteherdrüse. (Prostate gland): A gland in male mammals that surrounds the neck of the bladder and urethra, contributing fluid to the semen.
Corpus prostatae
Körper der Prostata. (Body of prostate): The main part, or body, of the prostate gland.
Pars disseminata
In die Wand der Urethra eingelagerte Drüsenläppchen der Prostata. (Disseminate part): The glandular lobules of the prostate embedded in the wall of the urethra.
Ampulla ductus deferentis
Spindelförmige Erweiterung des Endstücks des Samenleiters. (Ampulla of ductus deferens): A spindle-shaped dilation of the terminal part of the ductus deferens.
Glandula vesicularis
Bläschendrüse; fehlt beim Fleischfresser. (Vesicular gland): A glandular structure that contributes to the seminal fluid; absent in carnivores.
Ductus ejaculatorius
Gemeinsamer Ausführungsgang von Ductus deferens und Ductus excretorius der Glandula vesicularis bei Pferd und Wiederkäuer. (Ejaculatory duct): The common duct formed by the ductus deferens and the excretory duct of the vesicular gland in horses and ruminants.
Glandula bulbourethralis
Bulbourethraldrüse; fehlt beim Hund, ist bei der Katze sehr klein. (Bulbourethral gland): A gland that secretes a lubricating mucus; absent in dogs and very small in cats.
