1st Amendment

Guarantees freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly, and petition.

2nd Amendment

6th Amendment

Guarantees the right to a fair trial, including a quick trial, impartial jury, and to know the charges.

7th Amendment

Ensures the right to trial by jury in civil cases involving more than $20.

8th Amendment

Prohibits excessive bail, fines, or cruel and unusual punishment.

9th Amendment

States that rights not specifically listed in the Constitution belong to the people.

10th Amendment

Reserves powers not given to the federal government to the states or the people.
