what is a 1 on the modified ashworth scale?
slight increase in muscle tone, manifested by a catch and release or by minimal resistance at the end of the end range of motion when the affected by flexion or extension
what is a 1+ on the modified ashworth scale?
slight increase in muscle tone, manifested by a catch, followed by minimal resistance through the remainder (less than half of the ROM)
what is a 2 on the modified ashworth scale?
more marked increase in tone through most of the ROM, but affected parts easily moved
what is a 3 on the modified ashworth scale?
considerable increase in muscle tone, passive movement difficult
what is a 4 on the modified ashworth scale?
affected parts rigid in flexion or extension
