The overall plan is broken down into more manageable short-term components
Operational Plans
The tactical plan is broken down into various components that provide detailed steps to be taken by individuals or groups
Contingency Planning
Managers identify aspects of the business that are most likely to be negatively affected by change and develop alternative courses of action in case the anticipated change does occur.
