Fats
Nutrients that provide long-term energy and protect organs.
Proteins
Nutrients made of amino acids used for tissue growth and repair, providing the necessary amino acids to rebuild and repair muscle tissue.
Ghrelin
A hormone often called the "hunger hormone" that is released by the stomach and travels to the brain to signal that it is time to eat.
Hunger Signaling
A smart communication system that sends messages to the brain through hormones like ghrelin and dipping blood sugar levels when the body needs energy or nutrients.
Leptin
A hormone involved in satiation signaling that helps the brain recognize when the body has had enough food.
Satiation Signaling
A signaling process guided by hormones such as leptin and insulin that informs the brain when you have had enough to eat, helping maintain energy balance, support metabolism, and prevent under- or over-eating.
