Accreditation
Coastal Engineering is considered a specialized field under Civil Engineering in the Philippines.

There is currently no separate license specifically for Coastal Engineers. Instead, a person first becomes a licensed Civil Engineer through the PRC, and then they can specialize in Coastal Engineering through further education, training, research, and experience.
Professional Membership
Coastal engineers can join organizations related to Civil Engineering and other specialized fields.
Professional Membership
One of the main organizations is the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, or PICE. They may also participate in organizations such as ASEP, especially when their work involves the structural aspects of coastal structures.
