Chemistry
The study of matter and the changes it undergoes.
Physical Property
A characteristic of a substance that can be observed or measured without without forming a new substance.
Atom
All matter is made up of different types of combination of these particles
Element
Made of only one type of atom and found on the periodic table
Compound
Made of more that one type of atom
Matter
Anything that has mass and takes up space
Chemical Property
Properties of a substance that we observe when it reacts or does not react with other substances.
Physical Change
Particles of a substance are just rearranged- no new substance formed.
A gold ring has a mass of 95g and a volume of 5 cm(3) Whats the density of the gold.
19g/cm3 ( divide mass with volume)
How does it go
Mass:Top box, Density: bottom left box, Mass: bottom right box
Chemical Change
New substance formed with new particle arrangement
