Direct characterization
The author directly states a character's traits.
Indirect characterization
The character is revealed through their personality, appearance, words, actions, and effect on others.
Point of View
The perspective from which a story is told
Third person omniscient
The narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of all of the characters in a work.
Diction
A writer's or speaker's choice of words and phrasing for effect.
