Priority of focus.
Pattern
Regular repitition of elements.
Rhythm
Movement that directs eye toward focal point.
Variety
Adding complexity using different elements.
Unity
Elements coming together to create a sense of wholeness.
Plato
Beauty from Heavens.
Aristotle
Order, symmetry, definiteness.
Augustine
Integrity, harmony, clarity.
St. Thomas
Wholeness, harmony, radiance.
