IV (intravenous)
A method of delivering fluids or medications directly into the bloodstream through a vein.
IM (intramuscular)
A method of delivering medications deep into the muscles for faster absorption.
PO (by mouth)
A route of administration where medication is taken orally.
Adenosine
A medication given for supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), characterized by a heart rate of 150-250 bpm.
Valsalva maneuver
A technique used to treat SVT by increasing intrathoracic pressure.
Amiodarone
A dysrhythmic medication used for treating ventricular Tachycardia and Ventricular Fibrillation.
Epinephrine
A medication indicated for severe hypotension, anaphylaxis, and certain cardiac rhythms like Asystole, V-Tach, and V-Fib.
Nitroglycerin
A medication used for chest pain, causing systemic vasodilation; taken PO.
Dextrose
A sugar solution given to hypoglycemic diabetic patients, typically when blood sugar is below 80 mg/dl.
Naloxone
A medication used for suspected opioid overdose, administered via IM, IN, or IVP routes.
Fentanyl
An opioid used for serious pain management, qualifying for pain scale ≥ 7.

A medication used to control nausea and vomiting.
Midazolam
A medication given for prolonged seizure activity.
Atropine
A medication used for organophosphate poisoning or deteriorating bradycardia.
Albuterol
A bronchodilator used to treat asthma and bronchospasm, delivered via nebulizer or inhaler.
