hihi its all the vocab throughout the year, make sure to just start the ones were on now and only study starred terms!!! Also, id suggest going to podcasts if you really need it and selecting "gossip mode" not even to learn vocab, for your other classes just know its an option.

convivial
someone/thing who creates an enoyable, friendly and lively atmosphere, often in social settings.
conflagration
a large and destructive fire that causes significant damage.
virtuoso
a person highly skilled in music or another artistic pursuit, often displaying exceptional technical ability.
neophyte

whataboutism
the practice of responding to an accusation or difficult question by making a counter-accusation or bringing up a different issue, often to divert attention. “you did ___” “yeah well, you did ____”
bombastic
high-sounding but with little meaning; inflated. usually language that sounds very important and impressive but is often meaningless or empty.
non-sequitor
a conclusion or statement that does not logically follow from the previous argument or statement.
expedient
suitable for achieving a particular end in a given circumstance, often disregarding principles or consequences.
trounce (THINK triumph)
to defeat or beat severely, often in a competition or argument.
penchant (THINK preferance)
a strong or habitual liking for something or a tendency to do something.
insurgent
a member of a political movement that seeks to overthrow or challenge an established authority or government. (rebel)
contentious (THINK cause or controversial)
causing or likely to cause an argument; controversial.
comradery
a spirit of friendship and community among a group of people.
antithesis
a contrast or opposition to an idea or concept, often presented as a direct counterpart.
dearth (THINK!! dearth - drought)
a scarcity or lack of something, particularly in terms of essential resources or supplies.
affluent (REMEMBER ent - sufficiENT)
having a great deal of wealth or resources; prosperous.
verbose (Think “verbal”)
using more words than necessary; overly wordy. (similar to bombastic)
equivocate (cate - confuse)
to use ambiguous language, especially to avoid commitment or mislead.
obstreperous (THINK obnoxious)
noisy and difficult to control; unruly.
pontificate (THINK “pretentious” P P )
to express one's opinions in a lofty or dogmatic manner, often without consideration for others' viewpoints. Basically a “know it all”
