Surgical Asepsis
the absence of any micro-organism, the only 100% sterile procedure is a surgical incision
Sterile Asepsis
minimizing any possible micro-organisms through the use of sterile techniques.
Tegaderm
keeps dressing intact and occlusive
hydrocolloid
autolytic debridement of non-infected wounds, like a big pimple patch.
Hydrogel
promotes moisture in a dry wound.
Alginates and hydrofibre dressings
draws water away from the wound to form a gel like substance.
foam dressings
moderate to heavy exudate wounds
Adaptic
