Towards the back of the stage.
Regular verbs
Verbs that end in -ed in the past tense.
Irregular verbs
Verbs that do not follow a pattern in the past tense.
Powerful verbs
More interesting verbs used to improve writing by replacing ordinary verbs.
Character name (in playscripts)
The name written on the left-hand side of a playscript that tells actors whose turn it is to speak.
Dialogue (in playscripts)
What the character says, which appears after their name without using speech marks.
Stage directions
Instructions shown in brackets that state where a scene takes place or tell actors where to move, how to speak, or act.
Flow chart
A visual tool used to plot a playscript, showing what happens and how it finishes.
Headline
A catchy title for a newspaper report, which might be a pun or use alliteration.
First paragraph (newspaper report)
The opening paragraph of a newspaper report that sums up the whole story.
Final paragraph (newspaper report)
The concluding paragraph of a newspaper report that describes what happens afterwards.

Direct speech included in a report, surrounded by quotation marks.
