How many books are in the Catholic canon of the Old Testament? Into what main sections are they divided?
There are 46 books in the Catholic canon of the Old Testament. They are divided into Pentateuch (Law), Historical Books, Wisdom Books, and Prophetic Books.
Name the books in each of the main sections of the Old Testament
Pentateuch (Law) has 5 books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, numbers, and Deuteronomy/ Historical Books has 16 books: Joshua, Judges, and Ruth, Samuel and Kings/ Wisdom Books has 7 books: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Wisdom, and Sirach/ Prophetic Books has 18 books: Isiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Lamentations, and Daniel
What can the bible be thought of?
The Bible can be thought of as God’s love - God inspired Jacob to preach/write the word of God
