Birth – 2 Months Milestones
Physiological flexion and turns heads to side in prone.
3 Months Milestones
Prone on elbow-head 45-90 degrees neck extension and roll supine to sidelying.
4 Months Milestones
Prone on elbow with head upright at 90 degrees and slight head lag with pull to sit (PTS).
5 Months Milestones
Rolls prone to supine, prone on extended arms, prop sit, supine: hands to feet/feet to mouth, and pivot prone.
6 Months Milestones
Rolls supine to prone and prone to supine, and sits independent with UE in high guard position.
7-8 Months Milestones
Starts belly crawl and independent sitting with arms free.
8 Months Milestones
Maintain quadruped position and pull to stand at crib.
9-11 Months Milestones
Creeping/crawling hands and knees, cruising, pull to stand via 21 kneel at furniture, stands alone for brief periods, and walks with 2 hand supports.
12-15 Months Milestones
Crawls up furniture and stairs, stands without support, and independent walking (CDC has extended to 18 months).
18-24 Months Milestones
Propel ride on toy, stairs with hands/rails with step to pattern, and runs and kicks a ball.
2-Year-Olds Milestones
Runs well, stairs independent with step to pattern/2 feet, jump forward, and jump from bottom step.
3-Year-Olds Milestones
Stairs alternate pattern, SLS few seconds, pedals a trike, emerging single leg hop, and catches large ball.
4-Year-Olds Milestones
Hops on one foot, roller skate, ride a bike with training wheels, gallops, and throws a ball underhand.
5-Year-Olds Milestones
Skipping, long jumping, rides bike without training wheels, and jump rope.
