What is easing?

What is ease-in?
Movement that starts slowly and speeds up.
What is ease-out?
Movement that starts quickly and slows down.
What is ease-in-out?
Movement that starts slowly, speeds up in the middle, and slows down at the end.
What is a target position?
The position an object is trying to reach.
What does targetX - x represent in an easing formula?
The distance between the current horizontal position and the target.
What does multiplying the remaining distance by 0.1 do?
It moves the object by 10% of the remaining distance.
What is springing in animation?
Movement that imitates a spring, possibly overshooting and wobbling before settling.
What is the difference between easing and springing?
Easing smoothly changes movement speed, while springing creates spring-like motion and may bounce or wobble.
What is a moving target?
A target position that changes while the object is moving towards it.
