A1S2: Bertha: “…It’s that blasted cat!”
“You should have come to help me first. What is wrong with you? You know I am more beautiful than Bertha. So I should get the best of everything and go first.” (sneeze)
A1S2: Cinderella: “No he’s not, maybe he was hurt.”
“Or worse.”
A1S2: Stepmother: “Nothing.”
“How long has he been gone? I can hardly remember him.”
A1S3: April: “Yes, My Lady.”
“No, it’s mine. You got the hat on the last shopping trip.”
A1S3: Bertha: “I saw it first, so it’s mine.”
“Let me have it, you get everything.”
A1S3: Stepmother: "Sometimes I think it’s easier being around Cinderella.”
“What, Mommy?”
A1S3: April: “Yes, the ribbons are in there too!”
“I’ll take that!”
A1S3: Imelda: “Oh, here you are, you left your boxes of shoes.”
“Oh, it’s that cobbler’s daughter. I can’t believe you forgot to give us our shoes.”
A1S3: Bertha: “What’s that?”
“A trumpet.”
A1S3: Bertha: “I know that.”
“Then why did you ask?”
A1S3: Bertha: “I mean why is he blowing the trumpet? Why all the fanfare?”
“Then why didn’t you say that?”
A1S3: Bertha: “There is going to be a royal Masquerade Ball at the Palace.”
“That’s right, and every maiden in the kingdom has to attend by order of the king!”
A1S3: Bertha: “So you will have to make us new dresses. We have new fabric you can use in our favorite colors.”
“You need to finish mine first because the Prince will pick me.”
A1S3: Bertha: “You know he will pick me. I’m older and wiser. You are so young and immature.”
“I am more beautiful, so he will pick me. Right, Cinderella?”
A1S3: Cinderella: “Pick you? What are you both talking about?”
“Did you not hear the fanfare trumpets from here?”
A1S3: Bertha: “Well, there is a Masquerade Ball at the palace and All the maidens from the kingdom must go…”
“And the Prince will pick a bride! Isn’t that exciting!”
A1S3: (circle around Cinderella)
“She looks funny.”
A1S3: Cinderella: “All the maidens must attend? So that means I can go too?”
“You?”
A1S3: Cinderella: “I will make a new dress.”
“From what?”
A1S3: Cinderella: “No, I will make a new dress from them.”
“And when will you do that? You have to make our dresses.”
A1S3: Bertha: “But Mother, just look at her. She would embarrass us.”
“She doesn’t even know how to dance.”
A1S3: Cinderella: “Oh thank you, Stepmother, thank you!”
“But Mommy!”
A1S4: (Get ready when Goldie talks about Cinderella getting sleep/help arriving) Cinderella: “Coming, stepmother.”
“Cinderella! I want breakfast! Something sweet.”
A1S4: (Get ready at “Wing, wang…”) Cinderella: “Coming, Bertha.”
“Cinderella! Where are you? I’m hungry!”
A1S4: (Get ready when the Prince addresses the audience) Cinderella: “…Did I feed the pigs and chickens? And I gathered the eggs?”
(offstage) “Cinderella, where are my bloomers? Where is the laundry?”
A1S4: (Get ready when Goldie tells Jacob to save the tale) Bertha: “Cinderella! Come and do my hair and makeup!”
(offstage) “Me first! I need my nails done too! Cinderella! Cinderella! Where are our dresses? Cinderella! We are hungry!”
A1S4: Cinderella: “You go ahead. I never got my dress done.”
“That’s such a shame.”
A1S4: Bertha: “Oh, that’s right. I get them mixed up. They look like.”
“Maybe you could milk the pigs. While you gather the eggs.”
A1S4: Stepmother: “You don’t milk pigs. You milk cows and goats.”
“Oh, that’s right. Did I mess up my nails?”
A1S4: Bertha: “I hope they didn’t eat all the food. I’m hungry. My feet hurt already and we have to walk there.”
“That’s because your feet are so big.”
A1S4: Bertha: “They are not. I think you have funny toes.”
“I do not! Mama, I’m hungry too!”
A2S1: Bertha: “Who is that?”
“I don’t know, but I am hungry. I hope that there is still food left. We should have been here an hour ago. But you and Mother had to keep stopping and resting.”
A2S1: Bertha: “It’s a long walk.”
“I need to rest, my feet hurt! These shoes are too tight! Why can’t we sit for a while!”
A2S1: Bertha: “My feet do hurt!”
“Is it because your feet are so big? You waddle like a duck! Quack, quack, quack.”
A2S1: Stepmother: “What on earth are you doing? That’s the Prince on the patio. You’d better hope he likes animals.”
“I hope there is food left. You both took so long we are the last ones here.”
A2S1: Bertha: “You want to dance?”
“He wants to dance with me!”
A2S1: Bertha: “But I’m the oldest. I should go first!”
“Well, I’m much prettier so he will want to dance with me.”
A2S1: Prince: “Ouch! Please, that’s enough!”
“Is that enough dancing, mother? I’m hungry!”
A2S2: “I can’t believe he spent the rest of the night dancing with that girl.”
“I wonder who she was? Do you think they have more cake?”
A2S3: Bertha: “I am the oldest. I will go first.”
“I have a smaller foot. I will go first!”
A2S3: Bertha: “I was here first.”
“Well, your foot is bigger and you will break it.”
A2S3: Paul: “That will never fit.”
“Put the shoe on my foot! It will fit!”
A2S3: Bertha: “That’s not fair!”
“You need to get it on my foot.”
A2S3: Prince: “I’m trying!”
“Well, try harder!”
