Formula
Force = Acceleration x Mass
Force
Vector - size + direction
Unbalanced Forces
Body will speed up / down or change direction
Measurement
Newtons (N)
Newtons first law
A body stays at rest or moves in a straight line with constant velocity unless an unbalanced force causes it to behave differently
Newtons second law
For a given body , the bigger the unbalanced force , the greater the acceleration
Balanced forces
No affect on movement
Formula for weight
Weight = Mass x Gravity
Free Fall
In the absence of air resistance all bodys fall at 10m/s . If there is no air resistance the speed of a falling object will increase at 10m/s
Terminal Velocity
The force stays the same while air resistance increases , these will eventually become equal and the body will stay at a constant speed
