Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Core Objective
To create one centralized digital profile for every student, bringing academic, attendance, benefit, progress, and intervention information together to shift from managing records to understanding the child.
Student 360∘ Profile
A core platform capability bringing identity, school/class details, academic history, attendance, benefits, and progress together into a single continuous view.
Academic Journey Module
A platform capability tracking class-wise progression, examinations, results, grades, promotion, and historical records across a student's schooling.
Attendance & Learning Capability
A system feature recording daily, monthly, and annual attendance to analyze absence patterns, trends, and their linkage to student performance.
Benefits & Entitlements Tracking
A feature providing transparent tracking of eligible, received, pending, and historical student benefits.
Early Warning System (EWS)
A platform capability combining signals such as attendance, declining marks, subject failures, and slow progress for timely review of at-risk students.
Progress & Analytics Capability
A system module tracking growth trends, strengths, and learning gaps to generate school, district, and state-level insights.
Teacher Access Role (Proposed Model)
The access level enabling teachers to view student profiles, results, attendance, EWS alerts, progress, and interventions.
School Admin Access Role (Proposed Model)
The access level allowing school administrators to analyze overall school trends, EWS cases, benefit coverage, and class-wise performance.
Department / Management Access Hierarchy
The administrative visibility structure organized as Student → School → Block/Cluster → District → State.
Report Families Access Role
The user access model providing families with dashboards and visibility into a student's 360∘ profile, academic journey, attendance, benefits, and EWS status.
Illustrative EWS Priority Review Trigger
A sample alert condition where attendance at 62%, previous result at 68%, current result at 54%, and 2 failed subjects combine to trigger a Priority Review indicator.

Continuous Improvement Cycle
A 7-step operational loop consisting of COLLECT → CONSOLIDATE → ANALYZE → IDENTIFY → INTERVENE → MONITOR → IMPROVE.
SSA Core Proposition
The guiding paradigm: One Child • One Complete Profile • One Continuous Journey • One Intelligent System • Better Outcomes.
Current Data Challenges in Student Management
Key issues including distributed student data across sources, lack of continuous historical views, separate viewing of attendance and performance, reliance on manual analysis for interventions, and unclear visibility of pending benefits.
Operational Value of SSA Platform
Key administrative advantages including multi-year data continuity, proactive structured support tracking for at-risk students, transparent benefit tracking, and evidence-based planning.
