Equation with Variables on Both Sides
An algebraic equation that contains variable terms on both the left and right sides of the equal sign, requiring variable terms to be combined on one side to solve.
Solution to 17+8x=3x+62
The value x=9, found by subtracting 3x from both sides (17+5x=62), subtracting 17 from both sides (5x=45), and dividing by 5.
