Unwind Draw

The percentage of solid mass of chemical in the print fluid mixture.

% Add-on

The percentage of print fluid being transferred onto the base sheet.

VENUS Print Fluid

A print fluid formulation consisting of $99.8\%$ Latex, $0.2\%$ Caustic, $2.3\%$ Defoamer (of Latex), and $0.88\%$ Plasticizer (of Latex), running at a target level of $\approx 16\%$ solids.

VIVA Print Fluid

A print fluid formulation consisting of $91.5\%$ Latex, $4.58\%$ PWS, $2.28\%$ TWS, $0.55\%$ Caustic, Defoamer, and Plasticizer, running at a target level of $\approx 31\%$ solids.

Crepe Blade

A blade in the OLU process used to create microfolds in the paper for stretch and softness, and to transfer paper off the dryer.

Centerwind Assist Draw

The draw mechanism that provides torque to create tension for the incoming sheet to the reel.

Skulch

A coating defect/build-up on the crepe dryer that occurs when sheet temperature is too cold (below $200^\circ\text{F}$) or when the crepe blade needs to be changed.
