Practice vocabulary flashcards covering fundamental electrical units, matter, and conductor resistance based on the ECE Board Examination questions.
Ampere
The standard unit of electric current.
Joule
The standard unit of energy.
Matter
Anything that has weight and occupies space, which may exist as a solid, liquid, or gas.
Resistance Proportionality to Length
The direct relationship where doubling the length of a conductor doubles its resistance; for example, a 0.5Ω wire conductor doubled in length becomes 1.0Ω.
Electrical Quantity
A measurable physical property associated with electricity, such as current, voltage, or power.
