New cards

How did Neisser film the 2 teams in their task?

They filmed the 2 teams seperately, as well as the unexpected event, and superimposed them over each other. Both scenes were left slightly transparent because technology wasn’t good enough to superimpose without doing so.

4
New cards

What did Neisser find when they conducted this task?

They found that 48% noticed the unexpected event of a woman with an umbrella. Additionally, when participants didn’t have to monitor passes, they all noticed the UE (Unexpected Event)

5
New cards

What was the problem with Neisser producing the video?

The problem with superimposing 2 videos on top of each other is that it will create an odd appearance, one that isn’t typically seen / experienced in the real world.
