Republic Act 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000)

The Philippine law passed in 2000 that aims to adopt a systematic, comprehensive, and ecological solid waste management program in partnership with stakeholders to ensure the protection of public health and the environment, while ensuring proper segregation, collection, storage, treatment, and disposal of solid waste through best eco-waste products.

Republic Act 9275 (Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004)

The Philippine law passed in 2004 that aims to protect the country's waterbodies from pollution from land-based sources (industries and commercial establishments, agriculture, and community/household activities) through a multi-sectoral and participatory approach.

Republic Act 8749 (Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999)

The Philippine law passed in 1999 that aims to achieve and maintain clean air that meets the National Air Quality guideline values for criteria pollutants throughout the Philippines while minimizing possible associated impacts to the economy.

Republic Act 6969 (Toxic Substances, Hazardous and Nuclear Waste Control Act of 1990)

The Philippine law passed in 1990 that aims to regulate, restrict, or prohibit the importation, manufacture, processing, sale, distribution, use, and disposal of chemical substances and mixtures that present unreasonable risk to human health, while prohibiting the entry and disposal of hazardous and nuclear wastes into Philippine territorial limits.

Presidential Decree 1181 (P.D. 1181)

The Presidential Decree that supplements the provisions of P.D. 984 by providing for the abatement, control, and prevention of vehicular pollution and establishing the maximum allowable emissions of specific air pollutants from all types of vehicles.

Water Pollution Control

The regulatory measure that prohibits the discharge of oil, noxious liquid substances, and other harmful substances into the country's inland and territorial waters.
