Enzyme Biosensors advantages
High sensitivity and selectivity and is suitable for oxidation and reduction reactions, also has precise substrate interactions
Enzyme biosensors disadvantages
Possibilities of losing their activity upon activation, sensitive to small ph and temperature changes, uses a small analyte which makes it hard to register
Proteins biosensers advantages
Rapid sensing for direct immunoassay, made for bio affinity interactions
Proteins biosensers disadvantages
time consuming and the labeling is costly, not ideal for detecting, small target harder to sense, and it is not suitable for redox reactions
Nucleic acid biosensor advantages
Highley sensitive and selective, ideal for long ranged analytes, cheap, easy and stable sythesis, can use modification labels without losing efficiancy
Nucleic acid biosensor disadvantages
Higher toxicity then other antibodies, faster elimination due to the smaller size, has weaker binding to analytes
Nanoenzymes biomarker advantages
Innexpensive and easy to manufacture on a larger scale, stable to ph and temperature differences, long storage time
Nanoenzymes biomarker disadvantages
lower specificity, biodegradablility concerns
