Nucleus
A part of the cell containing DNA and Genetic Information, responsible for growth and reproduction.
Ribosomes
Makes proteins, and are called Protein Factories.
Golgi Apparatus
Sorts and packages proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum, to be delivered to their next destination.
Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER)
A Network of bubbles and tubes, both rough and smooth, which helps transport and modify protein to the Golgi Apparatus.
Cell Membrane
A semi-permeable structure that controls which substances can enter or leave the cell.
Mitochondria
Powerhouse of the cell, organelle that is the site of ATP (energy) production Necessary for cell's survival and functioning.
Nucleolus
Found inside the nucleus and produces ribosomes
Cell Wall
A rigid structure that surrounds the cell membrane and provides support and protecction to the cell. Only In Plant Cell.
Chloroplasts
Necessary for Photosynthesis, also creates Chlorophyll, necessary for the greenness of a plant (Only In Plant).
Cytoplasm
A jellylike fluid inside the cell in which the organelles are suspended on.
Vacuole
Cell organelle that stores materials such as water, salts, proteins, and carbohydrates, helps maintain shape of the cell.
Lysosomes
An organelle containing digestive enzymes.
