Megatrends
Events or shifts that occur over extended periods, influencing almost all aspects of human life, which arise from human behavior, demographic shifts, or technological evolution and cannot easily be stopped or reversed.
Macro-trends

Damped Trend

Seasonality
Predictable, repeating fluctuations over fixed periods within a single year, such as holiday shopping surges or summer vacation spending.
Irregular / Random
Erratic, short-term fluctuations with no recognizable regular pattern, characterized by sudden unpredictable spikes or drops in data.
Stationary
A pattern where statistical properties like mean and variance remain constant over time, with data fluctuating around a stable average level.
Cyclical
Multi-year fluctuations that repeat at unpredictable intervals beyond a 1-year period, such as economic recession cycles or long-term market shifts.
Fad
An intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something that is short-lived ('rage or craze') and without basis in the object's qualities, disappearing suddenly when the perception of novelty is gone.
