Context of ‘The Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.’ - Exodus 14

After the 10 plagues when the Pharaoh first decided to let the Israelites go and then changed his mind and got his army of chariots to chase after the Israelites, the Israelites were stuck when God created a pillar of cloud and fire to block the chariots and God commanded Moses to lift his staff and raise his hand over the sea and the red sea parted so the Israelites were able to escape.

How the quote ‘In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth’ - Genesis 1 shows God’s omnipotence

Because it shows how God created the universe meaning all of matter is his making and that he gave power to everything so he himself must be the greater power to be capable of that.

How the quote ‘The Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.’ - Exodus 14 shows God’s omnipotence

Because it shows how God parted the sea which is physically impossible for a mortal being to be capable for, making him have the greater power compared to anything else, proving he holds all power.
