Vocabulary flashcards covering the core launch principles, the five stages of customer awareness, and the growth operator role from the lecture.
Growth Operator
A partner whose role is to help a creator with their market by crafting a compelling offer and moving as many audience members as possible through all five awareness stages via a planned launch.
Launch Failure (Common Cause)
A pitfall occurring nine times out of ten where an offer fails because the creator's audience is treated as one single group instead of recognizing that individuals are at different stages.
Awareness Ladder
A five-stage psychological sequence describing what happens in a consumer's mind before buying: Unaware, Problem Aware, Solution Aware, Product Aware, and Most Aware.
Unaware Stage
The first and broadest of the five awareness stages, consisting of people who have not connected the dots, do not realize they have a problem, or do not view the problem as something that needs solving.
Solution Aware Stage
The stage where a person realizes category solutions exist for their pain (such as discovering ergonomic chairs to help back pain) and begins general research rather than assessing specific brands.
Product Aware Stage
The stage in the awareness ladder where a person starts evaluating and comparing specific named brands (such as Herman Miller, Steelcase, or HumanScale).
Most Aware Stage
The final stage where a prospect knows their problem, the solution, and every option on the table, leaving only the purchase decision to be made.
Stage Distribution Principle
The psychological rule stating that the further down you move along the awareness stages, the fewer people there are in each stage.
Well-Executed Launch
A deliberate marketing process that meets people across different awareness stages and moves them forward until the offer is no longer a cold ask, but the next obvious solution to their pain.
Warm Audience Limitation
The principle that having an established audience with existing trust does not automatically mean every follower is ready to buy, because individuals sit at varying stages across the awareness ladder.
