theme of Human Geography that explores all that influences someone’s point-of-view, including but not limited to their cultural background, education, and experiences.

theme of Human Geography that analyzes how people, resources, and ideas spread or relocate.

human-environment interactions

theme of Human Geography that assesses how humans and the environment help and/or hurt each other.

membership

theme of Human Geography that identifies what groups people belong to and why. **This theme also understands that people in the SAME group are also DIFFERENT from one another. (internal diversity)

internal diversity

the concept that even within a specific group, individuals can have varying characteristics, beliefs, and experiences that distinguish them from one another.

power

Theme of Human Geography that examines who has more/less power and why. This theme also explores how people/groups use power.

Claim

The part of a paragraph that makes a general statement answering a question or presents a position that can be supported with evidence.

Evidence

The part of the CER paragraph that provides specific examples or data to support the claim.

Reasoning

The part of the CER paragraph that explains HOW the evidence supports the claim; includes details and analysis of the evidence.
