What is WHMIS

• divided into 3 groups

  Physical, Health, environmental

Hazardous Products Definition and Classification

Any mixture, product, material or substance that classified in accordance with regulations with the regulations made under subsection 15(1) in category or subcategory of hazardous class listed in schedule 2

Introduced in WHMIS 2015

Every product (hazardous product under WHMIS) must have SDS

• must be kept on worksites and accessible to workers

• Prepared by suppliers/manufacturers of products to provide detailed info of product
