First Estate
Made up 1% of the population and consisted of Roman Catholic Clergy.
Estate
The three distinct social classes in 1700s France which were : Clergy, Nobility, and commoners

The group that compromised 97% of the population before the revolution (included commoners, peasants, and the bourgeoisie, who had few rights and often faced heavy taxation.)

Leader of the committee for public safety and the Reign of Terror.

A pledge by the National Assembly not to disband until a new constitution was established.

The third estate that formed a new constitution.

A treaty that redrew the map of Europe and restored the monarchy.

A meeting called by the king to deal with a budget.
