there are three points, the baby boom which is usually the surge of births after a war or during an economic well being, then there’s the baby bust which is decline after the baby boom. Then all of the baby boom babies grow up and start having children resulting in an echo.

There is an overall drop in population because most people harmed by war is non- military, yet there is a drop in male population and a slowing in birth rate known as the birth deficit. Wartime results in less time for procreation

information about government policy’s may be placed on a population pyramid, for example china’s one kid rule, this seen through the smaller younger generations and the more males displayed then females (male favored country)

this shows an influx of children and larger families indicating a high chance of population growth.

the dependency ratio is the dependency population ( people too young and too old to work) rely on the the potential work force ( people looking to join the labor force) divided by each other times a hundred.

These policies are made to decrease the birth rate in LDC’s. China created the one child policy to further decrease TFR, but this resulted in an unbalanced population. China eventually had to get rid of this law because it resulted in a sevrve impact on dependancy ratio.
what are pronatalist policies
the policies are made to increase the number of births in a country, an increase in birth rate is wanted to increase economic growth, military power, reflect a nation’s pride and support a growing old population.
How do countries promote pro- natalists policies
paid time off work, free childcare and family discounts. Immigration is also promoted through for pronatalist policies
