What is a graph?
This is a representation of data obtained from an investigation or experiment conducted
What are the parts of a graph?
Title
Axes
Results/points/bar
Scale
Grid
Key/legend
What is the function of a title?
This is used to tell what the graph is about and is written above the graph underlined in capital letters.
What is the scale?
This shows the representation of the actual data on the grid and it written below the title on the right hand size.
What is a grid?
This refers to the small boxes on the graph paper.
What is a key/legend?
This is used to tell the meaning of the symbols on the graph
What is an independent variable?
This is the variable that is being altered or investigated.
What is the dependent variable?
This is the variable that may be affected by a change in the independent variable
What are the results?
These are represented by points or bars on the grid.
