A specialized function (e.g., void ISR()) that handles interrupt events immediately when triggered.
attachInterrupt()
The Arduino function used to attach an interrupt to a specified pin and callback.
UART Communication
An asynchronous serial communication method that operates using two dedicated data lines: TX and RX.
SPI Communication
A serial and synchronous four-wire communication protocol using MOSI, MISO, SCK, and CS/SS, where the master device controls the clock signal.

A CPU register that tracks the address of the current or next instruction to be executed.
EEPROM
Non-volatile memory used to store configuration and user data that must remain saved even when power is removed.
Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC)
A microcontroller module that converts continuous real-world analog signals into digital values for CPU processing.
Stack Memory
A memory structure operating on a LIFO (Last In, First Out) principle used for function calls, local variables, and interrupt context saving.
Control Unit (CU)
The module inside the CPU responsible for directing the fetch, decode, and execute cycle.
RAM
Volatile memory used to temporarily store runtime data, variables, and the stack.
CPU Registers
Fast CPU storage used to hold operands and intermediate results for immediate processing.
Heap Memory
The region of memory used for dynamic memory allocation using functions such as malloc and free.
