Lobes
What fuses together from 4 or more growth centres to form the crown (creates lines where 4 lobes fuse)

Developmental grooves
lines that separates primary parts of crown or root (shallow grooves are formed when the 4 lobes fuse)

Tubercle
small elevated area of enamel on the lingual surface

Fossa
irregular rounded depression/concavity found on surface of tooth
Can be lingual or triangular
Lingual fossa
Found on lingual surface of incisors or canines
Triangular fossa
V shape irregular depression found or molars and premolars on occlusal surfaces

Cingulum
Rounded enamel bulge on cervical area of lingual surface of anterior teeth

Pit
Found on occlusal surfaces of molars where developmental grooves cross or join
Cusp
Major elevation on crown of canine, premolar, and molar
Ridge
Linear elevation on surface of tooth named according to location or form (bucal lingual Mesial distal)

Marginal ridges
Raised rounded borders of enamel forming margins mesially and distally
Occlusal surface of posterior
Lingual surface of antieoror

Concavity
Depression in a surface

Lingual groove
developmental line separating 3 labial lobes from cingulum or cusps of posterior teeth

Triangular groove
ridges that descend from tips of cusps of molars/ premolars towards central part of occlusal surface
Named after cusps to which they belong

Transverse groove
union of 2 triangular ridges (buccal and lingual ridge) that cross or join transversely across surface of posterior teeth
