Pythagorean theorem
In a right triangle, a^2 + b^2 = c^2; relates the lengths of the legs and the hypotenuse; can be rearranged to solve for any side.
Desmos
An online graphing calculator used to plot and explore equations, including rearranged forms of the Pythagorean theorem for visualization.
Right triangle
A triangle with a 90-degree angle whose side lengths satisfy the Pythagorean theorem.
Flip/rearrange the theorem
Algebraically rearranging a^2 + b^2 = c^2 to solve for a, b, or c.
Solar system math
Applying mathematical methods to problems involving the solar system (distances, scales, or orbital relationships) as introduced in the video.
