Caffeine
A stimulant that acts upon the central nervous system (CNS) so that cells respond better to signals.
Central nervous system (CNS)
The physiological system upon which caffeine acts as a stimulant to improve cellular response to signals.
Alkaloids
A group of substances found naturally in several plant species, such as coffee, tea, and cocoa, to which caffeine belongs.
Fatigue
The condition against which caffeine is used for its refreshing effect.
Organic molecule
The chemical classification of caffeine, which features molecular components such as CH3 and H3C groups.

Specific plant species that naturally contain alkaloids like caffeine.
