A Game of Fox and Squirrels Characters - Basic

Sam Littlefield: The main character, who comes from LA and stays with Aunt Vicky in Oregon. She keeps a Page of Walnuts playing card in her pocket and thinks of home when she sees The Hobbit.

Caitlin: Shares Sam's home address and plays softball. She has a pink toiletry bag and nicknames Sam "Chicken Whisperer" after seeing her hold a bird.

Aunt Vicky: Keeps six chickens and has a business partner named Armen. She wears a watch with a green strap and puts green onion and broccoli in her scrambled eggs.

Sam's mother: Adds cream cheese and sesame seeds (or crumbled crackers) to her scrambled eggs.

Grant: Sam's father.

Hannah: Makes a rhubarb pie and toasts with orange juice to making it to age thirty.

Lucas: Warns Sam about poison oak, gives her the compass she packs, and has a March birthday.

Braydon Mannon: The boy who took Sam's copy of The Westing Game.

Ms. Washington: The LA caseworker.

The Oregon caseworkers: They are scheduled to visit at ten and drink iced tea while meeting the chickens.

Armen: Aunt Vicky's business partner.

BriAnn: Wants to draw a beaver and a Steller's jay when she visits Oregon.

Lady Louise: The great chicken warrior in the "One Chosen Chicken" story.

Maple: A squirrel Sam thinks of as "very fancy squirrel," who wears a blue scarf.

Cedar: A squirrel who can juggle pebbles and wears yellow galoshes on all four paws.

Birch: A squirrel who carves the word "Hurry" into the earth with her twig sword.

Ashander: A fox that wears a fancy purple coat.
