How do you calculate HR using the large box method?
Count the number of large boxes between R waves; 300 ÷ number of large boxes between R waves
How do you calculate HR using the small box method?
Count the number of small boxes between R waves; 1500 ÷ number of small boxes between R waves
How do you calculate HR using the 6-second method?
Count the number of cardiac cycles within the 6-second hash marks, with the first R wave counted as 0; multiply by 10
study that chart thing and look at email

Solid line = positive end (+) of that lead
Dotted line = negative end (−) of the same lead
