Health
The state of physical and mental well-being and not just the absence of disease.
Communicable diseases
Diseases caused by pathogens such as bacteria or viruses that can be transmitted between individuals.
Non-communicable diseases
Diseases that are not infectious and cannot be passed from person to person (e.g. cancer, diabetes).

Biological risk factors

Lifestyle risk factors
Factors that increase disease risk, including poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption.
Immune system defects
Flaws in the immune system that make the body less able to destroy pathogens, increasing the chance of catching infectious diseases and making infections more severe.
Uncontrolled cell division
A process that can be caused by certain viruses, leading to the development of cancer.
