Adverse Effects & Black Box (Aspirin)
GI upset (N/V, heartburn, ulcers, bleeding), life-threatening salicylate poisioning (no antidote), and neutropenia.

Precautions / Contraindications (Aspirin)
Allergy, GI (ulcers), bleeding, anticoagulants therapy, renal impairment, and do not give to children with viral illnesses.
Nursing Considerations (Aspirin)
Stop one week prior to procedures (platelets), may take with food or mild dur to GI upset, DO NOT drink or use with other NSAID, monitor for bleeding, and avoid if pregnant.
