Present Perfect Tense
A grammatical tense used to describe an activity or action that started in the past and still continues into the present.
Present Perfect Form (He / She / It)
He / She / It + has + past participle verb.
Present Perfect Form (I / You / We / They)
I / You / We / They + have + past participle verb.
Since (Grammar Rule)
A word used alongside the present perfect tense to specify the exact starting point in time of an action.
For (Grammar Rule)
A word used alongside the present perfect tense to specify the duration or length of time an activity has been ongoing.

Mancala
Widely considered the world's oldest board game, traditionally played in African countries using seeds or stones placed into carved wooden board holes.

Jenga
A game where players build a tower out of wooden blocks and attempt to remove and stack pieces without causing the tower to collapse.

Chess
A competitive board game played between two players using a total of 32 pieces (16 pieces per side).

Queen (Chess)
The most powerful piece on a chess board, which stands next to the King; historically known as the counsellor in Arabic chess.

King (Chess)
A key chess piece on the board that stands directly adjacent to the Queen.
Voyage
A term defined as a journey, trip, or expedition.
Christopher Columbus
An explorer whose first voyage to the Americas was funded by the King of Spain after the king won a chess game using the Queen's advice.

Carom
An old, traditional game popular in Bahraini houses that combines elements of chess and billiards, played by flicking flat multi-coloured discs into corner holes using a finger.
