Under the lip, next to the mentalis

Depressor Anguli Oris

outside of the chin, corners of the mouth.

Platysma

Thin muscle around the neck

Masseter

below the temporal bone, cupping the jaw

Temporalis

on the temporal bone

Sternocleidomastoid

large neck muscle, long, helps move head- insert-mastoid process, origin-manubrium

Omohyoid

Lateral to the sternohyoid, origin from the scapula- insert hyoid bone

Sternohyoid

sternum to the hyoid bone, helps swallowing

Deltoid

shaped like a delta, large shoulder muscle- origin- clavicle & spine of scapula, insert- humerus

Pectoralis Major

Over top of the ribs, looks sectioned, -origin- clavicle, sternum, ribs insert- humerus

Pectoralis Minor

under pectoralis major, near top 3-5 ribs

Serratus Anterior

wing like, over upper to middle ribs, near armpit

External Intercostals

over ribs, runs down towards midline, between the ribs

Internal Intercostals

Under external intercostals, near midline, runs up towards midline

Diaphragm

Broad, flat, under serratus anterior.

External Oblique

overall trunk covering, has some white

Internal Oblique

Under the external oblique, runs up

Transverse Abdominis

running horizontally, under internal

Rectus Abdominis

Abs, under external obliques
